Poem#06 “Carry on”
It blossomed cherries, it felt like snow
I killed my demons, I learned to grow
Time of anguish arrived, began shenanigans of woe
I wept like Algos and time went slow
When nights got darker I yearned to cry
When cries went futile, a coup de grâce bow
But then a glimmer of light
Shone through the darkest night
The cherry trees bloomed once more
As I picked myself up from the floor
With a newfound strength I faced my fears
Even though demons may still linger near
For I've learned to stand tall and strong
And with each day, I'll carry on.
