Carrion Wayward Sun
If We Study Not Tomorrow We Are Doomed to Live It

I remember it as if it only happened tomorrow
Man’s apocalyptic shame, horrific sorrow
A ticking time bomb, a clock with no hands
Shifting the dunes to crystal sharp sands
This glass of hours spilling forth
Atomic stardust for what ‘‘twas worth

Rummaging through each hour yet to be
I remember what twas I didst not see
A ball of blue and green neath wisps of white
Tomorrow went up in flames of nuclear fright
Carrion my wayward sun
There shall be pieces when you are done

Wending along this galactic rim
A shattered world reflectively dim
A millennium ago in eons to come
Exterminated creator totals negative sum
