Carried Away

Linguistic journeys

By K.B. Silver Published about a year ago 1 min read

With ebon words

and balsam voice

the secret chest

you built in time

inlaid

with thoughts

dove for like

ancient wealth

shell slices

and pearls

strung on a line

of sinew

so spindly fine

it’s shimmering

tones plucked

rhythmically

in a rocking

rhapsody

inhabiting

the mind

taking hold

of the flesh

gesticulating

wild and free

rapture running

through my veins

evanescent burst

of ghostly light

emanating from

my pores

carrying me

through the night

entranced

entangled

psychically compelled

re-positioned

compressed into

any form

swept on wings

of gauzy ash

feeling that I’m

heading North

while being

driven constantly

southerly

once the

destination

looms upon me

colors explode

on spectral

nebulae

descend

nesting in

gossamer

filaments of

euphonic tides
