A Ritual

"Carpe Noctem"

Night arrives just in time, smooth as ever. The stars awaken, as do I.

Restless ruminations that slumber during the day, spring to life as the sun wanes.

I rule the night.

And take refuge in the darkness that rocks the world to sleep -- sleep that is sacrificed to my wild imaginations.

Illuminating visions streak by like comets across the sky.

The night is my dimension.

Where reality and fantasy are one and my mind expands inward like an implosion of thoughts.

Formless shadows, mine to mold.

The night is my escape.
