I love gentle rain, the kind that is so light it feels like tiny cold kisses on your forehead. This kind of rain falls so gently it’s barely considered rain.
But if you pay attention and stay long enough, millions of small water particles have caressed every part of your skin without your knowledge.
If there was a cup you could watch these droplets accumulate bit by bit and you’d have something tangible. It reminds me of how growth and change happen in people.
Bit by bit thousands of minuscule sparks, barely noticeable, land and plant seeds. Picture a person as the cup, if you pay attention and stay long enough, you can see something tangible.
Where the droplets, sparks and seeds have penetrated every part of skin that you can see on that person, and even though they weren’t paying attention, these minuscule pieces of change, hope and love have started to grow.
Like a red prayer plant, in the mass ruin of their heart, the roots spread out. With them, they remove cobwebs from places that were long shut off from the world. The vines sweep through aches lurking in far corners, and take away some of the weight they’ve held onto for so long.
Just as each droplet of water seeps into the roots below the topsoil and nourish the parts we don’t always see. We are all one in the same, blossoming at our own pace. Divine expressions of beauty.
Maybe it’s worth it to pay attention and stay long enough

I gave up on boxes and decided to just be strange & powerful. My writing is an accumulation of 24/7 shower thoughts & existentialism. Just happy to be here :)
