doctoring a pandemic in haiku

By ErnestPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

red eyes on red lists

laid by a chrome stethoscope

a spectrum of bleeps

-

protocols read out

fall on muted ears and screens

two toned sirens cry

-

the plague crowned green, now

allied with past bereavement

a brother lost twice

-

last words and looks gleaned

off the lucent slates i held

my heart rent anew

-

blue are the vestments

of my vocation but our

skins are colour-blind

-

these primary colours

amalgamate to form all

our visible light

-

merged yet still diverse

like all my pieces before

i gave myself to the part

surreal poetry
