Capture the Lessons
Learn from the ups and downs of the human experience
The morning begins with a blooming of light,
A clean slate to begin each of our days,
A smiling sun eclipses the horizon,
Showering us within its warming rays.

Rinse off in the sunlight,
Dry yourself upon its blessing,
As our day begins on our eternal journey,
Wielding the comfort in which we’re dressing.
☀️
Rise and shine in all your glory,
Find the strength needed to ride out the lows,
Crush the despondency of yesterday’s ending,
Working through the resulting pains and sorrows.
☀️
Turn your frown upside down,
Widen your smile in the light of a new space,
A safe haven of possible joys,
To brighten your day and light up your face.
☀️
Remember the love you felt in the dawn of newness,
The definition of a love once broken and lost,
Replaced by the basics of a welcome stranger,
Caresses replacing the pain and crippling cost.
☀️
Joyous explosions of laughter and happiness,
Filling a barren chest like never before,
A heart beating in tune to the vibrations of the world,
Revenge bypassed as there’s no need to even the score.
☀️
Tears of heartfelt agony crest the ‘morrow,
Ashes flung to the westerly winds,
Sleepless nights of worry and anxiety,
Payment in exchange for our multiple sins.
☀️
Every emotion, whether it rises us up or causes us to fall,
Is a lesson of self discovery open to interpretation,
Wisdom gained so there’s no need to repeat,
Sifting through our frustration to save us from damnation.
☀️
These ups and downs, sorrow, pain, joy and happiness,
Are what define our lives living in this existence,
Learning, growing, expanding into the realms of love,
Until you find your path of least resistance.

My path of least resistance anymore is heading to bed & staying there for a long time, lol. I should probably be heading there soon.
