The light flickered in the dimly lit room
And went out with a hush
It moaned and creaked
As if it was hurt
And there I saw myself
Bright as the flame
Not as fragile, but still in pain.
And as I flickered in the dim
My embers grew with the wind
And as my flame burned brighter with the day
I knew that my life was saved.
The light illuminated the dimly lit room
And brightened with lush
It sung and roared
As if it lived
And there I saw myself
Bright as the flame
Enlightened and forever engraved.
