Can You Really Bloom in Darkness

I Am From The Seeds My Ancestors Planted

I often was kept in the darkness while fighting to bloom

The sun shined down upon me from the heavens in the sky

I felt the warmth of the creators love and knew I would be blessed

My roots grew deep

But my wisdom can only be seen by others after I've been cut down

My branches break and my leaves wither away

Am I any good to anyone if I fall and hit the ground

I am full of moss and dampness as I lay upon the dirt

I continue to breathe as I'm embraced by mother earth

About the Creator

J.W. Baird

Who Am I?

I keep asking myself. I spent half of my life as a single mother. Pushing myself to be the strong independent individual that I have always been. My kids have grown and my life seems turned upside down.

I now search to find myself!
