Caged up away from you, Moon-Milk Eyes

Moon-Milk Eyes forever

By Melissa IngoldsbyPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

cage. I feel it like a chain

Wrapping, constructing a new house over my head, pretty new locks.

Constricting, a way to shut out my pulsing, angry heart.

(cage), to go try and live in the earth and breed amongst its rich, dewy, decay

—-Sea. It’s been locked up too. The

Moon’s hefty gravitation keeps the surf in line with the coast. It keeps it locked away from it’s

true love.

The Moon is selfish

The Moon is hiding behind it’s milky glow.

I leapt into your big, saucer eyes, once like the yellow sunshine. lemon and light. Gleaming and mountainous, larger than the gaping, seething Moon.

Whiter and more creamy than the star-lit Cavernous Earthshine that tears the majestic sea from

Cloudy heaven.

Like trying to find Paris

But your feet are locked up,

Moon-Milk Eyes, I’m still yours

Forever.
