I saw
too much
and it h-u-r-t
I watched
the red flags
wave like r-i-b-b-o-n-s
I noticed
who stayed quiet
when I b-r-o-k-e
I loved
in full color
they left in g-r-a-y
I begged
for truth
and got s-h-a-d-e-s
I learned
too late
what pain l-o-o-k-s like
Now I
close my eyes
and choose not to s-e-e
Because feeling
everything
was killing m-e
I'd rather
be c-o-l-o-r-b-l-i-n-d
than break b-r-i-g-h-t-l-y

When I’m not lost in my own plots, I’m either daydreaming about the next big idea or just winging life with a grin.
