Years of silence.
My abundant garden hushed,
growing lash greenery
even in winter.
Roots delving deep,
as if to the Earth's core.
Fuelled with valiant energy,
I lift impossible weights,
raising the stakes.
Asking for nothing,
just to breathe
and create more.
But what if my outcomes
are triumphs of others overshadowing them?
Decided in a moment,
elevated and embraced,
while they dismiss the rest,
disregard and condemn?
What avenues remain for me?
I want to change, to escape
the confines of my everyday world.
It won't be easy, but I'll give it a shot.
I'll look at things
from the opposite angle,
use new colours and tones
and hope for better results.
If I've got everything I need,
what else could ruin my work?
To have someone look down on it
and say, “This is garbage, absolute crap.
We're rejecting it, unfortunately.”
Sometimes I regret
starting this whole thing, neglecting everything else in my life.
That's the consequence of passion and putting all your faith
in a single endeavour
failing to bring fitting fruit.
