I Sit crying

I often sit weeping on steps as our feet sprung in love buds

Wondering why we aren't sitting once more in the white mews house

Love comes in like a light then goes out in like one too

Looking up at the room we uttered sweet nothings in

We made love hours on end within stone walls, moans not heard

Months on end we spent, our secret sanctuary while we bathed in bubbles

Hidden away from others in the big bad world outside

Free as birds, not an inkling as telephones rang day in day out

We either picked up a phone or ignored dull tones

Interferences with bliss as we took a long never ending kiss

Lost in time as time passes promises were never kept

Therefore I now weep at the bottom of the gate

Wondering as summer light arrives the flowers crying by my side

Within the garden I once cried in when you had to go back home leaving me all alone
