Most people plan extravagant parties or travel for their birthdays. However, for my 26th birthday, I decided to launch my business, AutuMedia, LLC. The event featured the 2018 ARTumedia collection, 15 Shades of Red. I partnered with my fiancee to create a great experience for our guests. In preparation for the event, we traveled around central and southeastern Pennsylvania to capture Shades of Red.

An attractive aspect of Autumn is the color change of leaves to various hues of the primary color red. According to color theory, red is a very emotionally intense color, and it is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination, passion, desire, and love. The 15 Shades of Red collection demonstrates the presence of red in our everyday lives both naturally and artificially.

One of the collection’s most popular photos is Butterfly & the Bee - Let’s Live in Harmony. This shade of red represents peace and my desire to collaborate with others for a common goal. Networking and collaboration are beneficial to our creative journey. When we focus on our similarities instead of our differences, we can make significant progress towards achieving this desire.

Butterfly & the Bee - Let’s Live in Harmony (Free Verse Poem)

Green is uniform.

Red is liberation.

15 Shades of Red was my emancipation.

Not just another mundane demonstration.

It’s a snapshot of my situation.

Pay attention to the details of its transformation.

Cease the endless replication

of seeking society’s affirmation.

All we produce is confusion and frustration

with a side of desperate obligation.

Sometimes I wonder if my mission is in vain.

If successful, will it even be maintained?

Why do we choose to believe in lies?

What happens when our source no longer supplies?

Will we struggle to barely survive?

Or will we fight to stay alive?

We have followers, but have we been misled?

We post on our feeds, but what are we being fed?

What kind of legacy will we leave when we’re dead?

Will we ever get our own Shades of Red?
