Majestic
No one sees colors
the way your mind does
just a sea of blinding white light
crushed into tiny glass prisms
for your spirit to feast upon
and drool melted crayons and rainbows
into the hands of the lost
who throw them joyfully in the air
like confetti
on a holiday
creating gray shadows
beyond your magic
you have no idea
how many layers of blue
have poisoned your soul
when I close my eyes
I see butterflies staring at me
majestic
fantastic butterflies
colors so bright
putting shame to the auras of saints
once glamorous
now sullen hanging from chains
making muses cry
tears falling into holy rivers
golden with koi
blurring all lines of color
until there is no longer a spectrum
then nothing…
