I’m burnt out.
Exhausted to the core.
I don’t know how much more
I can take.
I’m running out of fight.
I just want to choose flight
over fight.
My eyes are heavy.
My bones are sore.
I don’t want to live
this life anymore.
Will it ever get easier?
I don’t know.
But at this point,
I’m ready to let go—
of the struggle,
of the weight,
of continuously waiting
for the next thing to break
or blow up in my face.
I want to know what it feels like
to live without fear and yearning…
fighting just to make it through the day.
