We suffer the same
both you and I
We play the same game
and all we can do is try
At first, it's all so much fun
and then we begin to wonder
Walking along under a bright yellow sun
glad to have escaped the storms and thunder
What's it all about, and what do I do
life's little questions, oh, do they haunt
It is all a massive journey for me, and you
a never-ending journey, a perilous jaunt
It's what makes it all worth it, my friend
the toils and troubles we live through
As our journey rounds yet another bend
wondering again, what do we do
Answers don't often come easy
but that's the life we chose
At times it's all so unpleasing
we take it as it comes, in every size dose
It's life surreal
no matter what, we have to live with what we're given
We're humans, it's the deal
all on our own road, hoping to find something to believe in
The show's unscripted, and we don't always have control
stumbling through it like a minefield, trying to avoid hell
We may cross a few lines, like the gods of old
but we keep going until the last bell
These are the roads we travel
the bumpier roads we live
Speeding headlong on gravel
ready to put up all that we can give
We suffer the same
both you and I
We'll feel the same pain
until we win or we die
About the Creator
Jason Ray Morton
I have always enjoyed writing and exploring new ideas, new beliefs, and the dreams that rattle around inside my head. I have enjoyed the current state of science, human progress, fantasy and existence and write about them when I can.
