Bucolic beauty

Bring me in

Bathe me in foggy mornings

And temperate afternoons

Where peace and shelter

Mingle intimately with

Our Mother

I won't complain when your vines twist

Around the stony structure I constructed

I will marvel when you send your children

To smell the blooms

Lining my path home

I will leave your creatures alone

Respect your power over me

I am but a mortal soul

Wishing to be welcomed

Into your sacred ground

Bucolic beauty

Bring me in

Dress me in florals

Surround me in peace

Calm my tired body

Can life really be so simple?

I must believe it can be

Let my mind escape from the overwhelming race

I know I won't win

I haven't the heart for it

Only for the bucolic beauty

Thanks for reading!
