Some kids fear the dark the cold lonely feeling it brings

Some kids are scared of monsters hiding in their closets

Under the bed the bed poking through the springs

But brown kids see ghosts but our ghosts are real

Now you're thinking ghosts don't exist but these ghosts have invisibility of a different kind

The ghosts we see wear hoods, masks, and sometimes a badge

No getting your parents these ghosts would kill mom and dad

Maybe you have seen them but its never the same

For when we point them out we're thought crazy and shamed

There's no such thing as ghosts they say

He didn't mean it they say

She wouldn't do that they say

Ghosts are figments of the brain you are just imagining things

But we know ghosts possess people and the spirit lives on

The ghosts change form, a wolf in wolf's clothing

But when its in your face I guess its hard to see

Brown kids see ghosts so they get angry

Brown kids see ghosts so they become terrified

Brown kids live in the same world but are stuck on the other side

To be brown is to haunted by those alive and dead

Some ghost have black skin and hallowed eyes

Some ghosts are our demons insanity immortalized

Brown kids see ghost and there's no Bill Murray to save the day

Brown kids live with ghosts every day and no one sees a thing
