Broken Vision—Through the Eyes the World Sees
A Poem Written at 10 PM
Those broken visions,As the world sees,Through hazed eyes,A lovely dancer,Dancing through those fields of broken glass,Of broken dreams,Of traps,And of misery.
I imagine,What the world sees,Of bitter dreams,A collection,Of thoughts,And words,Ripped from those pages of that mind,A collection,Of thoughts,And memories.Of hopes,And dreams,And prayers,None of them making right,Or fair,Still misery in that pleasurable scene.
I knew men,With great hopes,With great dreams,Now broken there,In time,Crying in misery,Broken down on the side,Of that road called life.
She is that silent alarm,Screaming,In silent rage,Through the night,Calling out,In desperate words,In bitter light,To be heard,If only for a moment,But not wanting,To be,That bothersome tree,Falling in the night,She stays unheard,An invisible glare,A thread left bare.
