A Poem About OCD

I looked for something

I couldn’t find

It lingered somewhere

Within my mind

But as I grasped

My hand delayed

The image there

At once betrayed

Another dream

Another loss

Another desire

Another cross

That I never

chose to bear

This curse I feel

A fractured mirror

To have a mind

That once was whole

To know its peace

To feel its soul

But all these words

Just drive me mad!!!

The war I live.

“How sad! How sad!”

But do you have

Any fucking clue?!

The hell I live

My mind unglued

Each second thought:

“Is this alright?”

“no. No. NO. NO!!!

That won’t suffice!”

“Here! Do this!”

“…or no?.. do that!”

“But wait… it’s wrong?”

“Or stop..! What’s that?”

“Ha. Ha. Ha!

You fucking suck!

You’re never going

To get unstuck.”

God, do you

even care?

This hell I live

Consumed in fear.

Each day I wake

Under your wrath

How can I breathe?

How can I act?

Woe is me

For I am lost.

Won’t another

Please take this cross?
