Broken Flower

A poem of depression

By Aman BhandariPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

So depressed, and I can't understand why I'm

Feeling so angry as I can't

Understand why my life's been down, and I've

Been trying to just understand

So stressed out and angry and I'm bitter & I'd

Always be upset and time

Hasn't been on my side for years, as I jus' cry

To myself as I want to climb high

Not happy with myself and I can't believe it &

I can't understand why it

Doesn't make me happy & I'm feeling so bad

On the inside as I lost my will to live

Think my addiction is pain and sadness & I'd

Feel so low as I'm angry &

I can't understand why I'm angry all this time

And I wish that I can understand

Depressed and it's such a reality for me now

That I'm alive and sad and

I wish my sadness around me on the ground

As I'm trying my best to be a man

Flowers around me as I'm feeling depressed

And I don't know why I've

Been feelin' this way as I can't have my best

Self as I'm always feeling so dry

I'm broken and damaged as my soul's achin

On the inside as I'm feeling

So depressed, & I know that I'm still breakin

As I've lived through such seasons

Unhappy with my life and I've thought of all

The things in my life as I've

Thought of suicide so many times as I'll fall

Down so many times as I've cried

Heartbroken and I'm tired of feeling so bad

As I've been feeling down &

I'm tired of living my life, as I'm feeling mad

Everyday and I just can't understand

All around me and I'm broken, & I'm just so

Depressed and tired and I'd

Think of my own death as I'm feelin' so low

As I've thought of ending my life

Tired of feeling this way and I'm tired, & I'll

Try to fight my depression

And yet I'm so sad and alone & sometimes

I wish that God answers my questions
