I can hear my bones grinding

Cogs and gears in discontent

Lately I’ve been finding

Myself completely hell-bent

On wearing down my body

Working it to the core

Left my spirit rotting

In a corner on the floor

Dead skin sloughs off

Hair turns to dust

Blood as I cough

Lungs filled up with rust

Days of endless work

Leave me in shambles

My mind at the fork

Of many pointless rambles

Through the rabbit hole

Of an awful wonderland

How many grains I stole

Of Time’s precious sand

No longer can I run

From the fading of the dawn

While destruction has been fun

It seems my time is gone

Emily Dickerson

Hopeful and young, full of love. From my heart high praises are sung. For this reason I am here: to love and serve and bring all souls near. <3
