Broken

For When You Feel Alone

By Marla HaygoodPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

She collapses to the ground

Her knees make the sound

Her heart makes

The pounding in her ears

The sobbing makes her chest

Break and she’s trying her best

Not to let them hear

She’s drowning

And the depression is crowning

Her queen of failure

She’s trying to pray

No one is listening anyway

To her crying

Feeling alone and scared

Wishing someone really cared

Enough to tell her she’s not

Broken.
