Brilliant and Deep Red

Wonderland Challenge Day 3

He gazed into his blazing fire,

As tears formed in his eyes,

The flames licked higher,

Laughing as he drowned in his demise.

The once young yellow flame

Matured with an orange hue,

Became RED with thoughts of her name.

“I expected more from the likes of you.”

As rage set in, the fire began to sing

A serenade for all his tears.

You think you’re sad, well, here is the thing,

No one really cares.

The fire died down; he bowed his head in shame,

There was nothing more to be said,

The embers glowed, his heart the same

Both a brilliant and deep RED.

Till next time,

Calvin
