For Love of You

"Good morning!"

Your cheery eyes and velvet smile

Sing songs of happiness undefiled.

I know your heart holds grievous pain

I know what it's like, to go insane.

As we watch the soft, grey rain

My mind wanders off in vain

Twinkling droplets left a glitter,

Sparkling streams leave hearts a twitter.

Dreaming dreams of gears and wheels,

Anxiety pressing at my heels.

"Watch for danger"

"Check for spies"

"Good luck filtering all their lies."

"They're coming soon to kill the threat

That reminds them of their last regret."

But they can't breach the iron door

Beyond lies things never seen before.

"The dead, the demons, the monstrous brood,

Till death their lives will be pursued."

You pull me back from the Abyss

With talks of love and happiness.

I breathe a sigh of deep relief.

My madness today, was only brief.

About the Creator

Arthur Armstrong

A being of duality, poetic irreverence, and maddening nonsense.
