Breaking Silence

Karmas echo

you hurt me.

Broke me down.

Made me feel like

I was nothing without you.

But I found my voice to speak the

truth that you

tried to silence and deny.

I remember the night you

hit me and made me cry.

You said it was my fault and

I should apologize.

I won't let your cruel lies

destroy my self-esteem and pride.

Those days are gone.

When you threatened

to kill me,

you lost me forever.

You always said you loved me

more than anyone else.

Sorry, I don't trust that.

I don't even love myself.

The power you wanted to

control and manipulate

eventually faded

and turned against you.

I just needed to be brave

and stand up for myself.

For your sake, I hope

you can change and learn.

Cause I'm sure if not, your

karma will return.

I won't be concerned.

You reap what

you sow
