When we talk... you don’t think that I can see you

Deeper than your skin or scars

I think that I can see hues

Through all the blush and all the rouge that you put on to cover blue

Your soul has settled in the deepest shade of navy

Navy like the car you saw him in with her

Navy like your body when you called him out and he said you were absurd

Navy like the shade that you now hate and can’t be purged of

You’re the truest shade of navy that I’ve ever seen or heard of

Some days it seems that you’re a shade of purple

The days that you’re through being sad and anger starts to burn through

I spot a violent green just outside the plum

You envy how at his leisure he could just move on

The Sun’s rays seems to be opaque

It paints the sky in murky shades of gray

He’s sapped your melanin of all its strength

Black don’t crack, it fully has to break

We spoke and I saw every of shade pain

I see you
