Breakaway

The letting

By Jjenni Dagnelli Published 5 years ago • 1 min read

Inside, there seems to be less and less than there was before

Breaking apart until there’s nothing more

Tiny pieces scattered across the floor

It clings to me with hateful words

That burn inside like boiled purge

The sound explodes into the unheard

My hands, they feel tired

Empty of all desires

Holding myself together

With a string that has no tether

I drift off into the dark

Closing away the back of my mind

Where things remain empty of time

Laying there amongst the dead

where I wait until I forget. @OriginalGhostPoetry
