BREAD AND EGG MY SAVIOR

A poem about my childhood Snack

In the days of joyful youth, a tale unfolds,

Of a snack so simple, yet worth more than gold.

Fried egg and bread, a delicacy divine,

Captivating my heart, oh how it did shine.

In the realm of childhood, where dreams took flight,

This humble snack brought me pure delight.

A symphony of flavors, a perfect blend,

With every bite, my happiness would ascend.

Morning's gentle light would grace the room,

As I woke, eager to devour my favorite bloom.

The sizzle of the pan, the crackle of eggs,

A fragrant dance, awakening sleepy heads.

The golden yolk, like a warm, radiant sun,

Embracing the bread, its journey begun.

A crispy embrace, a union so sweet,

This simple creation, my taste buds would greet.

Oh, fried egg and bread, you were my muse,

A culinary masterpiece, I couldn't refuse.

With each bite, a symphony would play,

Melodies of childhood in a simple array.

No matter the season, rain or shine,

This cherished snack, forever mine.

It accompanied me on my school-bound quest,

A companion, a comfort, a source of zest.

But on those days when it was not to be,

My heart would yearn for the fried egg and bread I'd see.

In the classroom, I'd dream of that golden delight,

Longing for the taste, my appetite's plight.

Unable to focus, my mind would drift away,

To the aroma of the kitchen, where memories would stay.

Imagining the sizzle, the sound so clear,

Fried egg and bread, forever drawing me near.

For in those moments, I learned a truth profound,

That food can be more than what it's renowned.

It's a vessel of memories, a source of connection,

An embodiment of love, a cherished reflection.

Though childhood days have long since passed,

The fondness for that snack will forever last.

And whenever I encounter its familiar taste,

I'm transported back, to that cherished place.

So here's to fried egg and bread, my childhood's delight,

A simple pleasure that made everything right.

In the tapestry of memories, you'll forever be,

A reminder of a time when life was carefree.

600 words may not suffice to capture the essence,

Of a snack that brought such immense presence.

But the love and nostalgia it evokes in me,

Will endure through time, for all eternity.
