Boy's a Heart Attack

S.E.Linn

By S.E.LinnPublished about a year ago • Updated about a year ago • 1 min read

On a golden Eagle

With deep heart scars.

Still after ten years,

I don’t know who you are.

Burnin’ down the miles,

Hair straight back.

And Hell bent for leather,

Boy’s a heart attack.

Dimples and patches,

Leather and chrome,

Calling me, “Baby”

Like I’m finally home.

Well I know one thing

One thing here’s true.

The worst thing for me

Would be being with you.

The man’s trouble walking,

My blood’s like a drum,

Knees started knockin’,

Lord knows he’d be fun.

Your a heart-stopper, sure,

But I know just what to say,

To make that Harley

drive away.

Coming in hot,

You want me to use.

C’mon now honey,

None of it’s news.

I want you, he said

Oh, but trust me it’s donned,

That man’s lookin’ like

A trauma bond.

Dimples and patches,

Leather and chrome,

Callin’ me baby

Like I’m finally home

You want the fireworks,

I need the sky.

I need to stay grounded,

But you need to ride.

Coming in hot

With your hair straight back,

Opened my heart,

With a hairline crack

Actions don't lie,

He'll just make me cry.

And I hate watching that boy get gone,

But I’m not trading love for a trauma bond.
