In the depths of night, a father fights,
His spirit ablaze, with love's might,
With every breath, his heart ignites,
He'll conquer all, for his child's light.
Through stormy seas and raging tide,
He'll stand unwavering, by their side,
Through trials fierce, he won't abide,
His strength unyielding, a fierce guide.
In darkness' grip, he seeks the dawn,
A beacon of hope, where love is drawn,
He'll scale mountains, his fears withdrawn,
For his child's dreams, he'll carry on.
With weary limbs and soul so worn,
He battles fiercely, love's banner borne,
No obstacle can make him mourn,
His child's happiness, his heart's sworn.
Through sleepless nights and endless strife,
He's the guardian, the fount of life,
His love, a symphony, amid the strife,
A father's struggle, for his child's life.

For the Love of Samosas
Prologue Today's post is short fiction in honor of all the hassled parents trying to keep their angsty teens in line. "Bye mum! I'm not coming home for lunch today. I'll be going to Mac's with Kelvin and his buddies before we head to his house to study for a test." With that, Adam Lim careened like the Flash out of his humble HDB abode.
