Both Sides of Me

A Poem

I want to feel every edge of life

Every emotion

Every sensation on my skin

Every stunning sight

I think of poetry while I touch myself

Music blaring in the distance

It's the clearest view I've witnessed

Of the life I've lived so far

I want to reach out of my bones

And exist everywhere at once

Hopefully nothing goes wrong

I see myself on the beach while I breathe in flowers of ecstasy on a mountain

Your words are so harsh

Please, I yearn for more

Fill me with hatred until it spills out of my mouth

Until I'm swallowed by the deepest pits of fire

Despair is like no other lover I've known before

It's all-encompassing

Paralyze me in the grass of sorrows

Leave me here to wither into nothingness, my love

I've discovered the truth

Not all who wander are lost

I'm exactly where I want to be

I'll know true bliss when my mind fractures apart

Please, leave me here with the trees

Leave me here with this pain

Let me listen to my laughter

Be crowned by everlasting touch
