Both Sides

A Poem

By Alex VillonPublished 7 years ago 1 min read
The Ocean and Night

The beach at night is a canvas for my thoughts to spill on

The foam from the waves looks like a couple of decomposed stars

I wanna go into the water but I’m scared I’ll fall in love. As the moon watches me contemplate, I grow weary of every little fear I have inside of me. It really is just me on this sand. Which one is the ocean? Which one is the sky? There is life on both sides. They both can kill me if I go deep enough. Is land just a safe zone? I always liked my comfort zone, never to risky or rigid.

My love you created a billion skies in my heart. You gave one each a different color and polluted the air. How am I suppose to point out the constellations?
