Borne of light

The glow within me emanating gold

Illuminating all I wish to see

I speak from heart- green, speckled here with rose

There is a full spectrum within me

Ultraviolet- visible to those

who see with open hearts and naked souls

Fierce as red embers that give spark

to fires that give way to glowing coals

Indigo like ink, my inner child

is helping me to grow into someone

who, like sunflowers do no matter what

will always turn her face toward the sun

As infinite as light from darkness borne

Just as the sun gives moon her silver glow at night

The rainbow in my soul will keep me warm

For colour is the heat that’s borne of light
