A red haze covers the tips of my mind
“Why is it so persistent in staying there?” I ask.
As it shrouds my thoughts, I do not fret
Because I know there is much greatness ahead.
Even with it there, lingering in the front of my thoughts, I do not feel blind
Seeming to be something familiar, I begin to unmask
But now I know, it was something I tried to forget
And now, it is something I reminisce on every night before bed.
With a great distance in body and soul, I still feel nothing but intertwined
Feeling peace as this thought shines down on me, while I bask
I am in another world, in the reality I crave, nothing could break me out of this, just yet
God, I might as well be half dead.
