I want to write a story with you.

A work of non-fiction so unbelievable that the lovers blush,

the dreamers sigh, the poets smile and the cynics boil with envy.

We can run from everything that keeps us apart,

travelling like thieves in possession of a secret we will never tell.

Whispering like conspirators, hiding in ancient ruins and hotel rooms,

haunting the cathedrals, museums and airport bars.

Awakening on foreign beaches with little more than

rum soaked memories of the sound of waves and

our bodies intertwined in the soft blue moonlight.

With connections missed and welcomes overstayed,

for fear of being ripped away from this idyllic instant.

Oh, please say you'll come. I promise that I will set aflame

all of my shallow, empty tomorrows for the hope of one

single today with you.
