blurred pink skies

the lost loved ones

When pink skies turned my world upside down

I couldn’t acknowledge the darkness falling

As this was the only place for me to call home

During days of fighting the lonely hours passing by

Next to pink came the yellow sparkles around me

Without me recognizing the beauty of sunshine

During all the warm welcomes after many goodbyes

Leaving me waiting in emptiness

Right now I know I have made it

To the end of the journey I was meant for

But never wanted to reach

without all my lost loved ones

I can’t enjoy the sunshine on me

No matter how beautiful the view

I can’t enjoy the cheers and celebrations

Of every success on my journey

Not when I’m without you
