Blue Ways

Pygmalion’s Woman

Going in and out.

Searching for the right flow to continue.

With the goal of changing the light,

from blue to red,

from orange to yellow,

into the shade

of all the disappointments caused

by your attitude and words,

thrown out like bullets from a cannon.

The reality is too sensitive for this harsh judgment.

You execute it with rough hands.

Demands and submission plague your actions.

I refuse to be a bird locked in a cage

and you won't be happy with your regrets.

We won't match, and yet

he never understands this simple truth

laid at his feet repeatedly.

It's hammered into his empty head;

carved out like this invisible woman from his dreams.
