Blue Summer Rain

Teeny Tiny Raindrops

blue drops of summer rain

cascade down, over mountain, valley, and field

alone until they find each other

in the lowest places of the land

giving bare branches fresh green leaves

making music together in singing brooks

carving landscapes as mighty rivers

destroying all with flooding rage

blue drops of summer rain

fall down, down

to collide with the ground.
