Blue Stain on My Soul

a poem

He did it again,

shame built on humiliation of me.

Locked in the conversation

with six different people.

It was supposed to be private.

Not broadcast to everyone

whom he called friends one day

and stupid the next.

He enjoyed name-calling

believing he was superior.

He'd love and hurt simultaneously

and his jokes weren't kind.

He hid his true self

behind a facade, barely speaking.

One day, he praised a person

to condemn them cruelly the next.

The people he loved most

became his fiercest foes.

How could this happen?

How could he have changed so drastically?

Did he forget his own heated words?

It's a shame I didn’t.

And that's why he's with them -

I won't miss him.
