Blue And Bright

My life

By Ayanna DorePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Blue is how the beginning of 2020 made me feel with all the sickness and lost my body took so much of course.

Blue from being hospitalized from covid thinking that this is the end. Seeing so many people down the hall from me dying thinking I’m next. Getting sent home I thought it was my death sentence.

Blue from loosing a baby and loosing my mom. I just wanted this world to turn around.

I’m so tired of the loses I thought this virus was just temporary but this is our new normal.

Blue from loosing my job amd my only source of income. Having to stay home and face my son whom I can no longer provide for.

Blue from home school it is just so hard.

Blue from my landlord not fixing the apartment and everything falling apart.

But through all of that my life got sunny and bright.

Bright from the double colors on the stick.

Bright because after ten years I’m pregnant again.

Bright from after loosing a baby a miracle happened and his name is Masyn.

Bright from my babies first cry and his laughter and smile.

This world has brought me so much bad luck and I was feeling so blue but I allocated all that into loving you my miracle baby and his big brother my boys, my sons.

Bright because I married the love of my life. Someone who looks at me and complements me with his smile, who loves me and my kids unconditionally and who took care of me through all my struggles. I love you and you make me feel bright not blue.

There is no more blue because the brightness took over because of the way I love you.
