Blown Away

Grain-by-grain

By K.B. Silver Published about a year ago • 1 min read

I spent a lifetime waiting

For mine to finally begin

Wasting away

Blowing off grain by grain

In the wind

I was atrophied in the position I began

Though I tried out many poses

None seemed to

Give any supportive assistance

So I reverted to

My instinctual choice

Taking what seemed like centuries

To erode to completion

The particulate collecting

In drifts wherever the

Drafts carry and deposit me

I am swept into a pile

Used as sand to

Fill crooked-faced dolls and

A poorly timed hourglass
