Blocked Brainwaves

It’s all in my head

Blocked Brainwaves

There is a noise inside me that will not come out,

It circles, it crashes, it builds and breaks again,

Like a storm trapped behind glass, unseen but raging,

And I stand still, feeling every strike.

Thoughts line up, then vanish before they can form,

Letters scatter like frightened birds in the dark,

I reach for meaning, but it slips from my grip,

Leaving only fragments that refuse to connect.

My head hums with something I cannot name,

A pressure that grows behind my eyes,

As if words are knocking, begging to be born,

But the door will not open, no matter how I try.

I sit with it, this unfinished storm,

Counting breaths like they might guide me through,

But each inhale brings more weight, more static,

And each exhale carries nothing away.

People speak, and I nod like I understand,

But their voices blur into distant echoes,

I am here, but not here, present but unreachable,

Lost in a place that has no map.

Even silence feels crowded, heavy with what I cannot say,

And I begin to wonder if I ever knew how to speak,

If my mind was always this broken current,

Running without direction, without end.

I close my eyes, hoping for rest,

But the noise remains, steady and cruel,

A blocked signal, a trapped voice,

A life half lived inside a locked mind.
