Chaos ensues in the lobby

Familiar faces surround me

They seem lost, brainwashed

like looking in the eyes of a zombie

Conversation distorted

They couldn’t understand

Giving only a hollow glance

Blinded by the cookies at hand

Yet they were starving

Their conscience unwelll

Then someone approached me

With a message to tell

A code of some sort

Written on a page

Letters I’ve seen before,

but much more strange

Like an informant

I move quietly through

Mysteriously knowing where I’m going to

A pit in my stomach

A crawl up my back

The tension pulls behind me

I was under attack

Faster and faster

I run in a fright

The youngest of them

Closest in sight

A rope with two swords

I was about to get hit

She threw it at my neck

And both sides split

Waking up in a panic

I open my eyes

Was that a dream I just had,

Or my reality in disguise?
