Black Rabbits

Beating Hearts And Ticking Clocks

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read
Noir Art

Unimaginable moments, stir tedious beats

of ravaged hearts, leaning over the edges

Broken apart by a beast of the least

self serving, doing what ere he pleases

**

Discarded and crumpled, a refuse to ignore

revealing unlovely beauty marks

Promises made, left to decay on the floor

becoming something sinister in the dark

**

The universe dances, adding curves to maneuver

begging for a partner to carry a tune

Giving no guarantees the path will get any smoother

black rabbits scheming, neath the moon

**

So, where will we go, as the world careens

I guess sooner or later we'll know

All the secrets that still somehow remain unseen

and the freedom from just letting go
