Black dog in the black night has me reeling

Black death to the black sheep without feeling

Black tar on the black sea with no sign of remorse

Black bear on a black day when there's no recourse

Black jack leads to blackmail and a bad taste of karma

Blackbird on the blacklist by the local farmer

"Blackface" leads to your blackout

Thanks for reading!

You’ve made black dangerous and ominous. 😳

  • Oooo, my favourite was blackbird on the blacklist. That was brilliant! Loved your poem Sir Paul! 🍩🥐

  • But no black eye for having written & published this one. Even if it is late, it's still a marvelous piece. (And yes, I have long enjoyed black.)

  • Another good one Paul...

Crikey, it doesnt have a of redeeming features, does it! Makes me realise how ubiquitous the use of "black" is for "bad".
