Are we all just
walking super computers?
Thoughts invade our
mind at speeds
we can no longer dream to comprehend,
creating robotic movements
out of thin air to
please ourselves and
the ones surrounding us.
Our mouths are our
keyboards,
but our lips are still shut.
Do we need a reboot?
Could our cheeks be
red from a system overload?
How can our bodies fight
off a virus
without a defender?
Zeros and ones make up
our cells and gigabytes
foretell a past-present-future
outdone in an alternate
dimension with little to
no warning towards the
contrary.
But what kind
of system update
do we need
to feel the
sensation of
another person's
breath,
the touch of
fingers against
finished wood?
How long must
it be before we
realize we're cyborgs
on a path of
self-destruction?
Enough time has
passed in between
the dawn & the dusk
and your monitor
is beginning
to shut down....
Are we all just
walking super computers
or are we
super computers
just trying to
walk?
