billions of people
and we know so few
that's what makes it special
we get to choose the ones we love
the ones whose presence is most valuable to us
no blood necessary
just good energy
feelings of peace and acceptance always
you have to choose wisely
some people aren't good for each other
only give your time to those who care
happiness is yours to create
the world is hard
it was never meant to be
so when you find people that make it easy
cherish them
might even find one you can call true love
that one in billions
that you'd go to the ends of the earth for
that is when you realize love is what we were put here for

Turning Pages of Life

Doing it for the troops
The others dropped like flies around me. We fought and struggled to get to this point. I'm the only one left now. The objective is right there. A mere two hundred feet away. The last of my team got a bullet to the head right next to me, but I couldn't do anything. I was able to locate and neutralise the sniper as he shot my friend, so his death was at least not in vain.
