Fear instilled

I might have been thrilled

If I weren’t forced to rebuild

And left unskilled

*

Guided by scarcity

Basically

But mostly they take pity

For the loser committee

*

Some blame it on millennial mentality

Just a sad malady

They don’t understand the gravity

Of this kind of tragedy

*

A mahoosive mess

Led to an intrusive second guess

And caused copious amounts of stress

In my life-sized game of chess

*

Big time loser

Is all that’s in my future

***

Sometimes I feel this way. Sometimes the thoughts are hard to ignore. But that’s just it, they are only thoughts. They don’t last.
